BEERy Tender…

9 Aug

These summer days can be really brutal in the kitchen even if your home is air conditioned. There is nothing like battling in an even hotter kitchen in the summer time in the name of good grub. This week’s recipe calls for very little prep work, and can even be finished outdoors. So lets head to the grill to make this tasty beer marinated masterpiece…

Beer Marinated Pork Tenderloin

Pork Tenderloins 3: 14oz pieces

Marinade
Light Soy Sauce 4oz
Beer (Room Temp) 12oz
Light Brown Sugar 2oz
Fresh Ginger (Grated) 1 ½ Tbsp

Clean the tenderloins removing all visible fat and silverskin. Combine the marinade ingredients, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Place the tenderloins in a large bowl and cover with the marinade. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 2-6 hours. Remove the tenderloin from the marinade and grill over medium-hot coals, turning as needed. Allow the cooked tenderloins to rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly on the bias.

Here are some suggested sides for your tenderloin…

Mmm Creamy Coleslaw!

What about Couscous?

Dressing Up Your Greens

The Versatile Portabella Mushroom

Papaya’s Independence

Guys Grilling it Up!

Mmm take a bit out of that!

Get The Look: After-Work Mixxer….

22 Jun

So you had a long day at work… It’s 93 degrees outside all you want to do is pull your hot hair off your neck and sit with your girls sipping on a margarita and snack on some artichoke and spinach dip… It’s the after-work mixer… You can take that work outfit to simply chic…. A pair of open toe beige sandals and a beige tote play the back drop for an amazing orange dress. To spice up your outfit you put on some fashionable earrings which can be found at http://simplystudded.bigcartel.com/. The hair inspiration is a up-do after all it’s hot outside and all you want to do is pull up your hair into that all too familiar butterfly hair clip…

The Price Is Right…

11 Jun

So I don’t know too many people who don’t like a sale… I am obsessed with buying things on sale… Call me the fashionable, price conscious Diva!!! I love to shop but more importantly I love to find  good deal…. My go to item is always shoes!!!! I am a shoe frantic.. I made up my mind I wanted new shoes…. Honestly I had no particular reason why… I just knew that I was in the mood for something new.  For the discount diva I first look on-line to get an idea of what I want and how much it cost… That way I don’t go to the mall shopping aimlessly, that only leads to trouble. I then determine if it is better to shop online or in store… This weekend Wild Pair had a major sale!!!! Shoes as low as $19.99 a pair… And in store it was buy one get one 50% off for all sandals….. Can we say SCORE…. I got 5 pair of shoes for $130!!!! Ladies you know you can pay $130 on one pair…..

I pulled  few looks from their website… The total cost of all the shoes seen below is $140.00!!!! Please take my tips and check out Wild Pairs Summer Sale…
