Courage Under Fire…..

22 Jan

Red Tails hit theaters yesterday and its RED HOT…… It was a long way coming as Producer George Lucas faced a lot of controversy producing this film.  The film began development in 1988. Lucas revealed he faced much difficulty with the production of the film because big film studios refused financing and marketing to an all black cast with no major caucasian roles. People have discredited the movies producer and story line. However George Lucas persevered onward and has shown true courage under fire despite all that he has faced. Lucas spent $58 Million of his own money to produce this blockbuster film.

The movie is the epic tale of America’s first all black aerial combat unit which began the integration of the U.S. Armed Services. Red Tails tells the real life story of the airmen who battled the Nazis in Europe and the wave of racism and segregation in their Nations home.

The cast is one of the best looking male cast I have seen since “Takers“.  The head liners are Cuban Gooding Jr, Terence Howard, Elijah Kelly, Ne-Yo, and Clifford Smith aka Method Man to name a few. I have included a few photos of the cast and a trailer for you to enjoy.

*Please support this movie people has it was over 20 years in the making!!!!

George Lucas and his female companion….

The cast of Red Tails suited up and ready to go……

A few good-looking men 🙂

The dogfights are fun but everything else is filled with corniness, lame acting, predictable story arc, and moments where the film feels like a video-game rather than based on a true story. A great story to be told, but told in a very poor way. Good review right here though. Give mine a look when you get the chance.
